Cheryl confirmed for Brits appearance

Publish date: 2024-04-17

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, will be attending the Brit awards tonight.

The awards ceremony held at the O2 Arena in London, will once again be hosted by Ant and Dec and will feature huge performances from the likes of Little Mix and Justin Bieber.

It was earlier reported last weekend that Cheryl would in fact be at the Brits, but with her not performing or having any new music out at the moment, we were left wondering what the Geordie babe would be doing at the event.

But our questions have been answered thanks to Chezza and Nick Grimshaw.

Ex X Factor judge Grimshaw earlier tweeted that Cheryl would be helping him to present the award for ‘Best Breakthrough Act’ award.

Nick first tweeted a teaser about who would be joining him on stage, saying: “the ‘Best British Breakthrough Act’ is too hard to say. who can help me come and say it tonight???” (sic).

Then the Radio 1 DJ, confirmed that it would in fact be the ‘I Don’t Care’ hitmaker helping him give out the award, saying: “hang on….@CherylOfficial has saved the day! see yer ont stage babezzz” (sic).

And the gorgeous singer confirmed the news herself, by posting a striking snapchat selfie, with the caption: “Practicing my snap #BRITs” (sic)

This will be the first time Cheryl has attended the Brits since 2011, where she presented the award for ‘Best International Female Solo Artist’ to Rihanna.

The Brit awards will be on ITV 1 tonight from 8pm.
