Watch: Hailee Steinfeld covers 'Shape of You' at private Coachella party

On Friday, actress-turned-singer Hailee Steinfeld put her spin on Ed Sheeran’s number one hit “Shape of You” at a private party during Coachella.

The event, which took place at The Hyde Away, was hosted by Republic Records & SBE and presented by Hudson and Bare Minerals.

The performance came only weeks after Sheeran revealed to Capital FM that Steinfeld’s “Starving” was the British crooner’s favorite song of 2016 and he “just really likes it.” Tackling the song himself, Sheeran’s cover begins with a single beat, soon transitioning into his famous acoustics.

Steinfeld confirmed late last year that she has been working in the studio on debut LP. The 20-year-old recently collaborated with Machine Gun Kelly on his track “At My Best” and is supposed to drop a new single titled “Most Girls” later this month.
